Gardenstown - shells

Colour: sky blue

Pattern: all over body pattern; open zig zags or shells, separated by garter stitch columns. The shell pattern is centred front and back, and the garter stitch at the sides.

Welt: 5.5 cm, 2.25 inches single rib (knit 1, purl 1)

Chest: 92 cm

Gusset: gusset grows out of garter stitch panel; length approximately 8 cm 3 inches; width approximately 3 cm, 1.25 inches

Shoulders: ridge and furrow with a difference (3 rows reverse stocking stitch 3 rows stocking stitch, 8 rows moss, 3 rows stocking stitch, 3 rows reverse stocking stitch),  cast off together with back shoulder stitches.

Sleeves: plain stocking stitch with 1 purl false seam stitch from gusset to cuff; cuff single rib, 8 cm, 3 inches.  Total sleeve length: 48 cm, 19 inches. Armhole depth 20 cm, 8 inches, plus gusset.

Neck: polo neck, single rib, 11 cm, 4.25 inches
